The eleven tracks of Slow Coast’s most recent musical masterpiece, “Depths Like These,” promise an immersive journey filled with beachy sounds, catchy hooks, and soul-twisting synths that are sure to get pulses racing. He is from the beaches of the Bay Area in California, United States.

The major theme of Slow Coast’s musical journey is introspection, which he wholeheartedly embraces. The album started out as an ambitious writing project that Slow Coast started by composing one song per week. Eventually, an 11-track story that explored his feelings and thoughts behind the scenes through music began to take shape. He remembers: “I started digging up things that needed expressing through my creative outlet of music each week that took over every hour I could dedicate towards its creation but was completely satisfying when completed.”

With “Hypnotised” as the lead track, Slow Coast introduces his sonic universe on “Depths Like These.” His tracks leave a lasting impression thanks to their catchy hooks and moving soundscapes that linger in your head long after the music stops.

In order to create their sound, Slow Coast cleverly blended modern pop sensibilities with the raw energy of indie rock, resulting in sunshine-laden melodies with soulful lyrics that explore life’s shadowy corners. Other influences included The Arctic Monkeys, Tame Impala, Cage the Elephant, and The Black Keys.

The album invites listeners to use movement alone to dance away their pain by providing an emotionally charged space in which they can face even their darkest struggles without resistance. This type of treatment is known as “dancing therapy.”
