Christine Sako Radiates “Warmth” in New Single

Square

Hailing from Minneapolis, indie-pop artist Christine Sako returned with a new single rightly titled “Warmth” to accompany us in the remaining days of Winter.

After hearing Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated” in 2002, Christine knew she had to take a stab at being a bad-ass, guitar-wielding songwriter. Initially weary of judgement, Christine would record her songs and send them to friends on AIM claiming she had “just found this tune online” … just to get objective feedback. When the feedback was positive, she knew she had to run with it and we can only praise her for doing so.

Now, with “Warmth”, Sako delivers a beautiful narrative of self-discovery and optimism, exploring the complexities of embracing positivity in the face of doubt. As the artist shares, “‘Warmth’ is about being in that “too good to be true” mindset and how disbelief tends to be the overwhelming emotion when things seem to be going well. I started writing this song just after a breath of optimism had flown through me, realizing that indeed I was exactly worthy of the promising journey that was budding in my life.

With its indie-pop melody, acoustic vibes, and introspective lyricism, “Warmth” showcases Christine Sako’s growth as an artist since her debut. Drawing inspiration from artists like Edie Brickell, MUNA, and Taylor Swift, her music resonates with authenticity and sincerity. As the title implies, listening to the song provides us with a feeling of warmth, coupled with optimism.
