Los Angeles, United States based independent singer-songwriter, Yana Rose releases heartfelt and introspective debut EP, ‘Another Missed Sunset’.

Inspired by the likes of Billie Eilish, Role Model and Sasha Sloan, Yana Rose began releasing music in the American Spring of 2022 and has been touching listeners with her deep emotional, raw and authentic style of music ever since.
“My music is just an organized outpour of thoughts that I experience day to day. I get stuck in my head and my thoughts manifest themselves into hurdles, and writing music is how I overcome it. The idea of other people seeking my music out to feel heard or understood or whatever it may be is incredible.” Yana Rose
With all the vocals being recorded within her Los Angeles home studio, Yana Rose’ debut 4 track EP, ‘Another Missed Sunset’ reflects on the tumultuous journey that Yana experienced over the last few years of her life.
“For a long time, the EP was going to be called “Distracted”, because I felt like that word represented my college years well, but one evening in the spring I was sitting on my bedroom floor writing, and noticed the pretty hues in the sky over the buildings. I just thought to myself, “there goes another missed sunset.” I knew immediately that that would be the title of the EP, and I felt like it did a better job at articulating a feeling that the previous title couldn’t capture.” Yana Rose
Written in 2019 and produced by Max Pavlik, the opening track, ‘Long Distance Friend’ instantly captures you through the beauty and simplicity of piano and the hauntingly ethereal vocals of Yana. The space created through the song tugs at your heart as you are swept into the sentiment of the song; a sentiment that many can connect to as we have felt distant from our friends and loved ones.
As you move through and experience the EP, you truly feel that you are walking and connecting on the journey directly with Yana Rose, as ‘Tainted Heart’ and ‘Good Riddance’ share reflections of an experience from two different perspectives and concluding with the final stream of consciousness single, ‘Good Riddance’.
This is an EP to sit down and take the time to really listen as you have the time and space to feel and truly experience the depth and complexity felt within these songs.
