Berlin based indie pop singer-songwriter, Josh Savage has spent the last 12 months releasing singles, touring the UK and Europe and sharing TikTok videos that have consumed the TikTok world. Fans have long awaited his latest album, ‘Another Life’.
Known for being a leading artists within the NFT space, playing over 700 shows across 4 continents and holding the record for most Sofar Sounds gigs worldwide at 100 gigs, Josh Savage has also toured Germany with Kodaline and has supported the likes of Jack Savoretti, Reverend & the Makers, Roll Deep and Catfish & The Bottlemen.
“Music has been seriously undervalued over the years and the pandemic took away live gigs which was my only way of making a living. I was about to give up music because I couldn’t earn a living anymore until I discovered NFTs.” Josh Savage
Released via his own label, Savage Tribe Records, Josh Savage’s sophomore album, ‘Another Life’ was inspired by the exchange handwritten love letters, with his pen pal on the other side of the world in the Covid-19 lockdowns.
“When I first set out writing songs, I promised myself never to have the word “love” in them. I felt songs that did were cheesy and cliché. I was so dedicated to my art that I was single for nine years, it’s hard to build sparks into a meaningful flame when you are in another city the next day. And then I met someone – in Paris of all places. We handwrote letters to each other, sent them across the ocean and met all over the world. I finally understood ‘love’ and hard as I tried, could not find a replacement, no other word did it justice so I caved in and broke my own rules.” Josh Savage
