CJ Jarratt Strips Back The Mask With Single, ‘My Darlin”

Square

With a sound inspired by the likes of Charlie Puth, Blackbear and Gayle, Birmingham, United Kingdom, based singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist, CJ Jarratt strips back the mask and shares his most heartfelt and vulnerable release to date.

“This release is my most personal and raw to date. I often hide lyrically behind half truths or fun upbeat themes, but this is me sharing my most honest and painful experience with no mask.” CJ Jarratt

Self recorded and produced within a space of three days, the latest single by CJ Jarratt, ‘My Darlin’ was not originally written with the intention of release, which gives this track a deeper level of intimacy and vulnerability that listeners can truly connect to.

‘My Darlin’ was written for a family member after their passing for playing at the funeral and features the stunning stripped back sound of piano and strings which lay the foundations for CJ Jarratt’s raw lyricism and warm vocals.

“After seeing the emotion it sparked from family and at live shows, I’ve decided to release it in honour of her, one year on.” CJ Jarratt

For any listeners that have experienced loss, this track will connect to feelings felt, both with the feeling of hopelessness after the recognition that that person will no longer be around, and a sense of acceptance and realisation that the love that was held will always be felt.
