Friends, Jackie Minton and Julianna Sweeney Come Together With Single, ‘That’s Alright’

Square

Texas, United States based singer-songwriter, Jackie Minton has a passion for closing the gap between the sacred and secular, telling stories that make you wonder if there ever really was a gap in the first place.

Inspired by the likes of Joni Mitchell, Regina Spektor, and Madison Cunningham, Jackie grew up surrounded by the greats in music and had a great appreciation for music and songwriting from a young age.

Since releasing her debut album in 2016, ‘Searching For Now’, Jackie spent 5 years travelling the world and studying, where her passion for music only expanded, has released her 2021 debut album, ‘Earnest Voice’ and toured with Dermot Kennedy, opening for his 2022 USA Tour shows.

The latest single release from Jackie Minton, and featuring Julianna Sweeney, ‘That’s Alright’ is the second taster of what is to come from her upcoming January 2023 EP release, ‘Genesis’.

As the first time that the pair collaborated, Jackie sent Julianna a voice memo of the track in April 2022 with the dream that someday they could sing the song together.

Living so far apart, the dream seemed like a distant possibility, until both artists were moving across the country and were able to get together in Jackie’s living room to draft a demo of the song.

The track that you hear today is created using the same violin, piano and electric guitar originally recorded on the demo.

‘That’s Alright’ is a stunning track with harmonies that send you off into a world of imagination. We look forward to hearing more collaborations between Jackie and Julianna in the future.
