In an exciting pop collaboration between three Australian up and coming independent artists, Holly Hebe, Ivoris and Zhuli have come together for the first time with their bubbly single, ‘Supervillain’.
With a sound likened to Holly Humberstone, Griff and Charli XCX, the three artists combined have amassed over six million streams between them.
Zhuli talks about the group coming together for the first time in saying “We wrote this song on an all-female writing trip that Sab (Ivoris) organised earlier this year, and it’s my favourite song to come out of that experience because it was a great bonding moment for all of us!”
‘Supervillain’ is a fun and bubbly track that develops the picture of those people in your life that turn you into the villain of the situation through their narratives and stories.
“Alana [Zhuli], Holly and I were talking about how common it is for women to be labelled the “crazy ex” or the “bitch” when someone wants to paint themselves as the victim. So we thought it would be super fun to play on that idea, and become the villains in the story!” Ivoris
Co-produced by Holly Hebe and Ivoris, ‘Supervillain’ is filled with a lively, yet smooth and dreamy atmosphere and you will hear layers of synths, a laid back beat and fun additions of sound effects, all of which lay the foundation for the stunning layers of vocals by Holly, Ivoris and Zhuli.
“The mixing stage was really fun, as I was able to experiment with the blend of all of our vocals and
play around with fitting in the harmonies so that our voices could all feature and be supported by each other” Holly Hebe
