Presley Duyck’s Heartfelt Story Of Soldiers Going To War With Single, ‘My Someone’

Square

We had the honour of sharing the artistry of Dallas, Texas based folk/rock singer-songwriter, Presley Duyck in November 2021 with her single, ‘Juliet’, which you can check out here. Presley is back with her single, ‘My Someone’.

With a lifetime of musical passion, the 20 year old began her first band in kindergarten called ‘The Everyday Heartbreakers’. It wasn’t long before she realised that her band members somewhat lacked the skills to play the instruments required for the success of a band!

To this day, Presley Duyck is studying music at Berklee, where she is bringing together her lifetime of musical inspiration, drawn from the folk and classic rock influences such as Joni Mitchell and Fleetwood Mac.

Produced by Chris Garcia and guitar played by Nick Lashley, Presley Duyck’s latest and fifth single release, ‘My Someone’ was inspired by the stories of many loved ones heading off to war in 2021.

The soundscape created in ‘My Someone’ combines the sounds of acoustic guitars, ringing keys and driving drums. Adding in Presley’s powerful and emotive vocals and lush harmonies, the layered track and intimate heart-felt lyricism creates a depth of melancholic, yet uplifting story-telling.

We look forward to hearing more music from the multi-talented Presley Duyck.
