RALEÿELL With ‘Let Them Stare’

Square

Today, we are lucky enough to be joined by Russian based singer/songwriter, RALEÿELL, with her latest single release, ‘Let Them Stare’.

Below, you can read all about the story and life behind this inspiring artist and gain an insight for the creation of her track.

‘Let Them Stare’, RALEÿELL’s latest single, is a song about knowing what you want in life and the difficulty in starting over.. It’s the idea that it’s ok and you will get through it.

The beginning of the song, takes you back to a child-like state, with the sound of a music box.. you can almost picture the ballarina twirling as the box is playing it’s music.

As the track builds, the guitars kick in and RALEÿELL begins to tell her story, you gain a feeling of a conversation with self.. a conversation that is both telling her it’s going to be ok and of building her self assurance and confidence.

You can listen to ‘Let Them Stare’ below:

Would you like to start by telling us a little about yourself?

I am a singer/songwriter and performer, currently live in Russia and being inspired by the greatest nature and people (I love the cold!).

I have been making music since childhood, but I consciously came to songwriting and performing only three years ago. Since then I have been trying to make music my main activity.

I am a big fan of jazz, if I had the opportunity, I would sing only it.

What was it that first inspired you to begin a career in music?

It was always in me.

From the very childhood I liked to sing, but up to adulthood I was afraid of the stage to hysterics. But, having started to study professionally (I am now studying at a music academy), I gradually parted with mental problems and began to enjoy not only writing songs, but also performing.

How would you describe the feel of your music?

Soft melodies and harsh words.

The combination of the incongruous, to be honest, it seems to me that the more avant-garde, the better.

You have recently released your single, ‘Let Them Stare’.. what was the inspiration behind the creation of this track?

I wanted to support those who for the first time understand what they want in life.

Starting over is always difficult, any beginning is stressful, but I had to tell people – it’s okay!

Difficulties will make you better, and haters will definitely not break you.

What would you like listeners of this track to takeaway from listening to the song?

There is no need to be afraid.

The more opinions, the better, even if they are negative.

Someone else’s words do not change your uniqueness, your talent, or your aspirations.

These are just words.

Take them on a note or forget them – only do what is good for you. Don’t destroy yourself with criticism.

What did the creative process look like for ‘Let Them Stare’?

I write a melody on the piano, put it on my poems and then go to the studio to a very cool sound producer, who first listens to the performance with his voice, and then offers his ideas for the arrangement.

To let them stare, I suggested the drums myself, I wanted them to be solid.

In this song, by the way, it all started with a verse.

The chorus was born later.

This is your third single, how has your journey changed since you have released your first single?

It seems to me that people found out about me in narrow circles.

But I have very little material to talk about, people manage to release a single every three months – I am not a champion in this regard.

But now it is much easier for me to navigate in musical circles, there is no former shyness.

Is this considered a result? 🙂

Where do you find your inspiration for your music?

Usually in stress situations.

The worse the better.

It destroys me a little everytime, but music is born.

In Russia there is a song “when music is born, a person dies.” There is such a thing.

What would you like to see happen for you in your music from here?

I want to perform more.

This is very important to me, so I actively play the piano and study vocals.

Singing on stage is a completely different story.

In the studio I am very brave, and on stage there are so many emotions that blow away.

What is one message you would like to share with your fans?

It’s never too late to start.

If you have a soul for something, do not quit. It means you have talent.

Trust me, I know.
