Melbourne, Australian singer-songwriter, ƝOAH fuses the sounds of pop, jazz and singer-songwriter, sharing themes of identity, love, and mental health to guide both himself and his listeners to a place of understanding himself and the world.
Sharing a blend of strong vocal tones with his skilful guitar playing, ƝOAH, has a desire to create impact within the Queer Australian music industry.
Mixed and engineered by Sean O’Reilly and performed alongside his winning band members, Brayden Rabago (keys), Sam Parry (drums) and Lachlan Vormwald (bass), the latest alternative-pop EP release from ƝOAH, ‘Lungs’ tells a story of returning to his hometown of Ballarat during the 2020 covid-19 lockdowns, taking a much needed break from his musical studies and from music overall.
“The break I took when the pandemic first hit, like a lot of us, left me lost, When I re-established my reasons and need for writing, I feel I re-discovered myself through the lens of writing and I think that is why people connect with my music. Life is a constant evolution of being lost and found. Songwriting is the ultimate form of finding meaning from nothing and everything all at once. It’s just real life.” ƝOAH
Diving into heartfelt storytelling, the lyricism of ‘Lungs’ dives into deep life complexities that are not only individually personal, but touch the lives of humans as a collective.
