Nobody’s Wolf Child Creates Full Immersive Experience With Single, ‘Lost Among The Pines’

Square

Based in the United Kingdom, Nobody’s Wolf Child is more than musical artistry. It’s a full immersive, cinematic 360 degree experience, created as a complete work of art.

As a trilogy release, each track has been designed around a story between the main character, the Wolf Child and the world that surrounds her. The songs explore themes of the discovery of strength, the process of healing from the natural world and the alienation and separation felt from the greater human society.

Each single has been released through her own label, Nobody’s Records.

The latest and third single release from the trilogy, ‘Lost Among The Pines’ tells a visual story of the Wolf Child frozen among the pines only to be greeted by her shadowy pack.

In comparison to the first two releases, ‘Lost Among The Pines’ brings a much gentler feel, bringing the sound of the stillness, as the Wolf Child sits within the forest.

While the trilogy is now complete, Nobody’s Wolf Child says that this is just the beginning.. this is the third release of a total of twelve songs set for release, building on the story of the Wolf Child, who is certainly building a fanbase of her own.

Would you like to start by telling us a little about your background?

I was normal once, then I wasn’t so much.

History is what colours the present so vividly, it informs the music and the musician.

My background is in the music.

What began your exploration of a music career?

The Song Remains The Same.

It’s a visceral experience and I wanted it all.

Plus it’s really fun to tell the school ‘careers advisor’ that you want to be a rockstar.

They really hate that.

Your music is a full immersive, artistic creation.. what would you say made you consider creating music in this unique way?

Thank you. Really there is no consideration with it and that’s the point, it’s what wants to come out and I don’t measure it I just go with it on the ride.

Your work has been a storytelling progression of the Wolf Child.. where did this concept come from and what led you to follow the journey?

I am the Wolf Child and I’m just telling my story the only way I know how.

I am her and she is me.

I do wish I had her claws on everyday though…. but they’re very impractical for human stuff.

You have recently released your single, ‘Lost Amongst the Pines’.. what was the inspiration behind the creation of this single?

A friend (Michael Meadows of LeBrock) sent a piano piece through to see if I could lay down any vocals.

I instantly saw this ice forest world in my head and it really was one of those that just write themselves.

All the feelings I had were perfectly encapsulated by this imagery.

What does ‘Lost Amongst the Pines’ mean to you?

Its one of the first songs I wrote that really reflected me and the music I wanted to make so it’s a very special song.

I see her as a snowflake that never melts and hidden within the detail is the world of the song.

What did the creative process look like for ‘Lost Amongst the Pines’?

The writing which I mentioned above, with a little back and forth between myself and my friend to make some improvements, then sitting on a hard drive for years until I met Matt Parisi my producer and we brought it to life with the gentle touch it needed.

It can be hard with an old song that you’ve loved for so long but it actually flowed so well in the studio and it’s perfectly done.

Where do you find your inspiration for your music?

From a spring flower to an ocean storm.

A line in a book or a thought.

Everywhere.

Sometimes it’s a very full picture that instantly needs writing but sometimes they take a while to come to the front as a proper idea.

I’ve learnt not to grab at them.

I just gently remain aware of something bubbling, sometimes it disappears again for a bit but it usually returns brighter.

What would you like to see happen for you in your music from here?

I want the songs and the creatures within, to be loved by at least as many people that can make it all successfully, self perpetuating.

I’d like to be doing the kind of live shows I’ve always dreamed of and of course always creating more, with no limits.

I have a particular project in my minds eye. A long term baby that waits in the wings patiently.

What is one message you would like to share with your fans?

One message? Impossible.

One message FOR NOW….Be careful out there, use your instincts.

The wolves aren’t the problem, its the human’s in sheep’s clothing you need to look our for.

Where can people find your music?

On all the usual places.

My website is very pretty and you can join the mailing list there too and be a member of the pack.
