Below are 5 releases that we can’t wait to share with you.
1. Back To Spot – MAEJIS MIND
Inspired by artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Tame Impala.. US based James Beasley is the mastermind, songwriter and producer behind creative project, MAEJIS MIND.
MAEJIS MIND joins us as they share their latest mix of dream pop and psychedelic pop, in their instrumental based track, ‘Back To Spot’. The track brings a more mellow vibe than that captured with his previous tracks.
James based this song on the sounds of an acoustic guitar, playing arpeggiated chord progressions, which you are immediately introduced to, as you begin to listen to the track.
As further sounds and instrumentation are introduced, you are left with the laid-back, beachy, psychedelic feel of the song.
At the three minute mark, you feel like you have reached the end of the song, but are faced with a beautiful surprise as a crisp beautiful sound of acoustic guitar chords kick in, taking you to a new space in the dreamland that MAEJIS MIND has created through ‘Back To Spot’.

2. Broken Heroes – Cristal B.
Influenced by artists such as, s Adele, Taylor Swift, Amy Winehouse and Lana Del Rey, Cristal B. is a singer/songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist.. She is also a nurse who has seen the full impact of the Covid-19 pandemic from the front line.
During the pandemic, music became an outlet for creativity and expression, as well as a release for the stress and anxiety that she was experiencing.
Following the release of her debut single, ‘My Therapist’, in September, Cristal is back with her second single, ‘Broken Heroes’.
‘Broken Heroes’ is a song that Cristal B. wrote in her bedroom, in the midst of the pandemic.. It’s a song about the experience of living life during Covid-19.. about experiencing feelings of hopelessness, loneliness, feeling lost and it’s also about finding a sense of unity and belonging in knowing that we’re all struggling and trying to find our way.
“Aside from being a singer-songwriter, I’m also a registered nurse. The last year and half took a huge toll on my mental health. If I’m being honest, I was sick of being called a “healthcare hero” when it felt like I was having a meltdown every day and nothing was getting better and no help was coming. I felt a little broken inside and I heavily leaned on creating music for my own sanity. I’m only just now really starting to feel like I’ve got it (sort of) together again.”
This beautiful vocal track is a must listen.. take the time to really have a listen to the sentiments and feelings within the song!

3. Joanna – Nadia Moon
Nadia Moon is a UK based singer/songwriter who derives her style from Motown, soul and jazz classic influences and fuses them with a hint of modern day flair to create the unique sound you hear in her music.
‘Joanna’ is the second single release off Nadia’s upcoming EP and is an ode to experiences of late nights/early mornings, of being coerced into eerie late night parties. The song talks of how the nights unfolded and the feelings that developed through these experiences.
As you begin to listen to the track, you are introduced to a laid-back, yet groovy guitar feel and you get the feeling that something is coming.. there is a silence and something is lurking, just out of sight.
Nadia’s beautiful and jazzy voice begins to tell the story, setting the scene of walking down the street and beginning a conversation.. taking you straight into her world where the night is about to unfold.
This is a great chilled out track to listen to as you’re relaxing.. highly recommended!

4. Soul Eyes – Piper Cole
Vancouver based musician, singer/songwriter and psychotherapist, Piper Cole, combines her background as a classically trained soprano, with her skills as a contemporary electronic producer, to create a unique style of electro-folk music.
Piper’s influences blend a mix of indie artists such as Kate Bush, Aldous Harding and Tori Amos and electro influences including LCD Soundsystem and Amason.
As a trained and practising psychotherapist, Piper draws much of her songwriting inspiration from witnessing the many layers of human experience, growth and recovery, resulting in an emotion rich array of heart-capturing songs.
‘Soul Eyes’ is a song that definitely sets this scene.. The lyrics ask the question.. ‘What needs to die today in order to live a little bit more?’.
“Music brings such colour to life, cradling and nourishing our experiences. Singing and songwriting have helped me make sense of the world, and express emotions that I struggle to connect to”
As you listen to the track, you will be captured by the stunning vocals and the creativity that encapsulates the deep depths and the intense highs of the song and the emotions that lie behind.

5. Heart/Mind/Heart – Anne Budé
Inspired by Lana Del Rey, London Grammar and Florence + the Machine, Holland based Anne Budé has created music for BMG, which has been used to create commercials for shows such as Temptation Island and MAFS.
When Anne creates her dreamy pop music, she dives into a deep dark place of her mind, where melodies and lyrics begin to flow their way out into song.. The kinds of things that fear would normally prevent her from speaking about.
Heart/Mind/Heart is a song that faces that inner battle that we all have inside us.. the conflict between the reasoning of the mind and the callings of the heart. The song is a soul search to find a sense of balance within this conflict.
The artwork, designed by Romy van Hal, is a creative and mystery inducing representation of the three pictures of the titled trilogy.. heart.. mind and heart.
As you listen to the track you are consumed in the deep mind.. Anne’s beautiful vocals take you on a journey between the paradoxical elements in conflict and you can relate to her story.
This is a beautiful and dynamic track and recommended for a listen when you have the time to pay attention.
