Coruja Jones Delivers Emotional Indie-Folk Single ‘Little Space’

Indie-folk artist Coruja Jones returns with a deeply moving single, “Little Space”, offering listeners an emotional journey through love, loss, and the tender spaces in between. As the lead track from his upcoming EP Undo, the song blends delicate acoustic fingerpicking, expansive arrangements, and poignant storytelling.

Manchester-based Dan Jones, the heart behind Coruja Jones, collaborated with guitarist Jake Stentiford to create intricate, interwoven guitar lines that set the tone for the track’s introspective mood. What starts as a gentle acoustic folk melody blossoms into a lush soundscape, driven by the atmospheric use of electric guitar, modular synthesizers, and the steady pulse of drums, courtesy of producer Sam Vicary and drummer Adam Dawson. The track rises and falls with a melancholic beauty, particularly in its sweeping chorus, where the weight of emotion is balanced by musical texture and depth.

At the core of “Little Space” is the deeply personal and heartbreaking story of unrequited love for someone you never had the chance to meet. Written after the loss of a pregnancy, Jones channels his grief into a tender lullaby for the child he never got to know, honoring their memory with raw vulnerability. The song’s lyrics also reflect the broader experience of never meeting loved ones, including Jones’s late grandparents, adding layers of universal longing and connection to his personal narrative.

As the first taste of his forthcoming EP Undo, “Little Space” offers a glimpse into the reflective themes of healing, loss, and love that shape the project. The track is a soaring, bittersweet exploration of the spaces left behind by those we lose, marking a poignant and promising return for Coruja Jones.
