Bighead Tea Drinkers are a young UK band that simply can’t be put into a box while cementing their place in the new guitar music landscape, this group takes inspiration from headliners of the past with influences that range from The Strokes to The Clash and Lana Del Rey.
They are back with “Flowers”, a track that encapsulates the buoyant spirit that has defined Bighead Tea Drinkers’ recent successes. With punchy drums, bright strummed guitars, and a grounding bass line, “Flowers” serves as the perfect backdrop for its catchy vocal melodies and intricate lead guitar riffs.
At just over a year old, Bighead Tea Drinkers—Freddie Brindle (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Marshall Tyce (Drums), Ellie Hart (Lead Guitar), and Kian Ramsay (Bass)—have quickly established themselves as a rising force in the UK music scene. Their previous EP, Travel Far, Get Away, has racked up over 40,000 streams on Spotify since its release in April 2024. The band has also enjoyed sell-out shows in major cities like Brighton, London, Birmingham, and Bristol, and has performed at festivals such as The Great Escape.
Talking about their latest release, Marshall Tyce describes it as “a feel-good summer tune in its rawest form, the type of song you play while sitting on the beach watching the sunset”. Freddie Brindle adds, “It’s a summer song that makes you feel like you’re lying in a field of daisies with the person you’ve caught feelings for”. While Ellie Hart notes, “The chorus will be stuck in your head for days, just like that one person you can’t stop thinking about”.
