Berlin-based Finnish artist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Jonsjooel unveils his latest single, ‘Goodbye Ah’, taken from his forthcoming EP, Voices Of A First Day. Some may recognise him as the frontman of Lake Jons, while others may know him for his versatile songwriting and production work. Originally a jazz drummer, Jonsjooel’s music defies genre definitions, blending elements of folk, jazz, and electronics into a distinctive and experimental sound.

In “Goodbye Ah”, Jonsjooel explores his belief in signs, which he perceives as omens, intuition, or whatever one may call them. He feels that cherishing our sensitivity allows us to see much more, and this single encapsulates that philosophy, promoting a deeper appreciation of our environment and its fragile beauty.

Jonsjooel emphasizes the importance of this connection to nature. He believes that awareness of the significance of nature and our relationship to it leads to more constructive decisions in all our actions. His music serves as a part of his quest for a connection to nature, stressing that humanity cannot afford to distance itself from the natural world as it currently does.

If we human beings want to continue living here, we can’t distance ourselves from nature as we currently tend to do. My music is just one part of my quest  for connection to nature.” – Jonsjooel

The accompanying music video for “Goodbye Ah” further embodies Jonsjooel’s cinematic and experimental vision for the track.

As we approach the release of Voices Of A First Day, the first preview “Goodbye Ah” stands as a reminder to listen to the signs around us and cherish the natural world we are intrinsically a part of. Jonsjooel’s urges us all to be more in tune with ourselves and our environment.
