“Electricity” is Sophia Bavishi’s new big statement in the world of electronic pop and the first release since becoming her own producer. This track does not waste a single second: from the invigorating opening arsenal of synth sounds, it picks up energy right from the beginning, turning into a rhythmically rich and catchy electronic pop anthem. The lulling voice of Sophia and the retrospective lyricism within, which is at the same time introspective, really knit a weave of sound in “Electricity”.
It captures the essence of surrender to rhythm when inhibitions are dropped and electrifying chemistry starts on the dance floor. What follows is a great party of living for the moment in which nothing counts but the music pulsing through your body. What started out as an idea from a simple loop recorded on the Ableton Push has turned into this fun, dance-worthy anthem: vibey and catchy—something you can feel the excited reaction coming from Sophia Bavishi to this genre switch.
“This is my first release where I am the head producer of the song and it was all written and created by me. I had some help from my friend Mark Daniel, and he helped with the mix as well as adding some final touches to the production! Jorge Costa mastered this single as well!” – Sophia. This release marks a departure from her earlier work, containing a great deal of evolution in her sound.
Phoenix-based producer and singer-songwriter Sophia Bavishi makes otherworldly, genre-bending pop sounds. Taking influences from ambience, techno, and experimental electronica in the creation of her melodic concoctions, it is clearly an execution of their own unique, purposeful artistic approach. This passion for live digital performance and production is currently being ignited with a national tour opening up.
If you are looking for something to help you move all summer long, “Electricity” does just that, with its beautiful vocals, infectious beats, and some pretty incredible sound design. “Electricity” is where Sophia Bavishi lights up with a new, exciting chapter of her artistry: an experience in which she takes her listeners on a journey where they forget themselves and into the music, rejoicing in each split moment. She captures this experience with all its joy and freedom of dancing one whole night, immortalising it within an electric pulse of the beat.
