Gabriel Seize Releases New Synth-Infused EP ‘Prologue’

Square

Gabriel Seize is a French 360° artist based in Brussels. Through electronic music, 3D visuals, stories and stunning sensitive vocals, he creates by himself a parallel universe. In his cockpit full of vintage synths, Gabriel takes us on a trip to the future that will never happen, a world inspired by synth-pop, French Touch, electronica and old-fashioned Sci-Fi. “Seize” is the French word for sixteen, like an old 16-bit videogame, a 16-step sequencer, and the 16 bars of a typical electronic music loop. It’s a strange meeting between machines and an ethereal falsetto voice, sculpted by years of experience.

His new ‘Prologue’ is a jam-packed fantasy in crisp synth packaging. Bouncing beats and gritty leads create a soundscape that’s both nostalgic and forward-thinking. All six tracks feature Gabriel’s dreamy falsetto, perfectly weaving in and out of pulsing sounds.

The focus track, “My Video Game”, samples an Atari race game, echoing the futuristic sound of Daft Punk.

Another standout track, “Beautiful Lie”, co-written with Belgian writer Adeline Deieudonné, pays homage to The Truman Show, blending a cinematic narrative with societal critique.

Overall, ‘Prologue’ is an easy listen, deftly combining the commercial appeal of retrofuturism with cutting-edge modern production and songwriting.

“This EP is called Prologue, like the name of my favorite synth (Korg Prologue), but most of all like the introduction of a story. With these 6 synth pop songs, I introduce the world in which my future adventures will take place. A dimension out of time, the future like we used to see it, a lost future that will never happen. In this world we can escape from all the threats and darkness of our time. It’s very much inspired by my fellow countrymen and pioneers of French Touch AIR, Sébastien Tellier, Daft Punk or Kavinsky.” – Gabriel Seize
