Thy Young (born Francis Tiffa Williams) is a producer, songwriter and composer from Sierra Leone, West Africa. After working for years to master his sound, he decided to start producing for artists and has been gaining recognition ever since.

His production credit has catapulted up-an-coming artists to superstardom. In 2020, his production on Kaley Bag’s D Sai Wae Ah Komot (1+ million streams), gained him the crown to be Best Music Producer of the Year at the Sierra Leone National Entertainment Awards (NEAs) and making Kaley Bag a household name not only in Sierra Leone but also globally.

Thy Young is now back with a release of his own featuring fellow talented artists, “Cocoa (Coco)”. The song blends Afro-pop and dancehall influences, featuring a sensual guitar intro that seamlessly transitions into an irresistible beat.

The new release is a reflection on loyalty and resilience in relationships. Thy Young describes the track as exploring the question, “When times get tough and the good times fade, will they still be the same person who stood by your side when everything was rosy?” With its seductive lead-in and inviting vocals, the song encourages listeners to delve into its poignant narrative while losing themselves in its groove.

“Cocoa (Coco)” follows Thy Young’s previous single, “Luck” and they both set the stage for his highly anticipated album, Scent of Amie.
