SlickBoy Nae’s latest single, “PGFTS” (aka Pretty Girls From The South), is a catchy celebration of Southern charm. Hailing from Port Saint Lucie, Florida, with roots in Baltimore, Maryland, SlickBoy Nae infuses his Northern East Coast hip-hop style with a Southern twist.

Produced by platinum-selling producer Kid Hazel, known for his work with top-tier artists, “PGFTS” boasts a hard-hitting beat that immediately grabs attention. The track opens with a compelling mix of synths, snares, and 808s.

Throughout the song, SlickBoy Nae pays homage to the diversity and beauty of Southern women. His lyrics are both playful and heartfelt, painting vivid portraits of confident women who embrace their individuality and radiate authenticity. The inspiration for “PGFTS” stemmed from his move to Florida, where he was struck by the cultural richness and variety of women he encountered. The result? A much-needed celebration of women, highlighting their beauty, strength, and resilience.

It’s about the beautiful women of the South. This track was made purely out of love and fun. When I originally moved to Florida, I noticed how huge the diversity was with women down here. There are all types of women that I didn’t know of or wasn’t used to because in inner-city Baltimore, we didn’t have too many mixed ethnicities. So, when I heard this instrumental, I thought of ideas surrounding our beautiful women. Then shortly after, the hook just came to me, and I was like: ‘That’s it – this is gonna be fire. This is what I can make the song about.’ So, I created it, and I feel that it will resonate with millions of different women.” – SlickBoy Nae
