Rising indie rock sensation Green Arthur is back with a new single that’s sure to get listeners grooving. Titled “Rest in Reverse”, the song is a perfect example of Green Arthur’s signature blend of indie and alternative rock.

Green Arthur (Peter Dorrien Traisci) was born and raised in a small town in New England – a childhood that he still cherishes today. Peter’s parents routinely filled the house with classic records from a variety of artists – James Taylor, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Carly Simon. These early musical experiences helped shape his music into what it is today. Years and several cities later, Peter began writing and recording music that would eventually become the songs of Green Arthur. Explaining the choice of moniker, he reveals, that it is the name of his childhood imaginary friend. By using it, he aims to get back to that youthful innocence, which we can find in his music.

Drawing inspiration from the musical legends cited above, Green Arthur infuses his music with authenticity and nostalgia.

“Rest in Reverse” pulsates with an upbeat tempo and infectious energy, offering a playful take on the search for meaning and self-acceptance. Green Arthur explains, “Humans seek out pleasure in a million different ways. The song is about that search. I like the idea of using art to reclaim a childlike state. We all start out playful but some of that is lost along the way.

The song came to life through the power of collaboration. It features a talented lineup of musicians, including John Stirratt of Wilco on bass, Soren Burkum on drums, and Wes Hutchinson overseeing the production process. Originally conceived on acoustic guitar, the track underwent a transformation in Green Arthur’s home studio.
