Houston-based alt-indie-rock trio makes us wish Summer was already here with their new track “Hawaii”. More than just a call making us longing for some vacation under the sun, this single always marks the beginning of a new chapter for the band.
Comprised of Paul Pelc (singer/guitar), Micah Miller (drums), and Jerry Nettles (guitar/keys), Getters have never been ones to conform to musical norms. With a dynamic blend of indie, pop, and rock influences, they carve out their own unique sound. Despite the challenges faced during the pandemic, the trio refused to let their spirits be dampened. In 2021, they introduced themselves to the music scene with the release of their debut EP, simply called ‘We Are Getters‘. Now, armed with an even greater sense of purpose and determination, they set their sights on even greater heights with their upcoming second EP.
“Hawaii” stands as the first preview of the upcoming said EP and tells the story of personal rediscovery. From the moment the track begins, we are transported on a euphoric musical journey filled with unexpected twists and turns. The eclectic fusion of electronic drums, hook-laden synths, and Paul Pelc’s soaring vocals creates a sound unlike any other.
