In “Hero”, Aki crafts a story with anime influences that transports listeners to a world of immersive Japanese Indie Electronic music. His upcoming mini album, BOY 1, delves into this concept by following the journey of the lead single, which mirrors how young boys grow to love heroes on television.
Aki crafts his song with great care, transforming it into a magical musical narrative. “Hero” portrays a small child who, in a summer garden, embraces his inner hero and sets out on a significant mission with unyielding resolution and unwavering purpose. As an innocent prince travelling through a magical country with hope in mind, Aki’s story transcends harsh reality and portrays an image of innocence with endearing optimism.
Simple piano chords are the starting point of Aki’s “Hero” creation, which develops into an orchestra of electronic and string parts to create a cinematic atmosphere. Mastering has been performed by renowned musician Kashiwa Daisuke, who is most recognised for his work with director Makoto Shinkai. This yields an electrifying postclassical palette with minimalist electronic rhythm leaping alongside delicate melody reminiscent of a surreal story.
“Hero” immerses listeners in Akitsugu Fukushima’s creative vision through an immersive musical journey. Aki uses powerful post-classical electronic tunes that evoke optimism to entice listeners to join him on his heroic mission.
