ARO, a Los Angeles native, started out in music by experimenting with electro pop. She soon made the switch to the alternative/pop rock arena. She has started collaborating with Kenny Carkeet of AWOLNATION to create a more distinctive sound by fusing punk, grunge, dream pop, and 70s rock influences. The result is something that is honest, personal, and raw, with lyrics that tell a story and speak authentically. ARO serves as her musical explorations of her own personal narratives, conveyed with thoughtful lyrics and honest storytelling.
