Vocalist and composer Jamie Irrepressible is a vocalist and composer all the way from Manchester, UK. He got together again with his seven-piece ensemble The Irrepressibles, to treat us with a new release. The single titled ‘Will I Ever Find a Home?’ marks a poignant departure from the sounds the band got us used to.

Jamie Irrepressible, originally from Yorkshire, founded The Irrepressibles back in 2002. With a unique blend of cathartically orchestral pop and lush arrangements, Jamie was crowned as one of Britain’s most talented musicians. Following the success of their latest EP, Self Love & Acceptance, The Irrepressibles went to meet their fans through sold-out shows in some of the UK’s most beautiful churches and concert halls.

‘Will I Ever Find a Home?’ signals a new direction for The Irrepressibles, breaking away from their chamber pop roots. The single takes us on an introspective journey through alienation while delivering a powerful message. While the initial impression may suggest despair, the song subtly transforms into a reflection on the universal human experience of searching for a place to call home – something a lot of us might relate to.

The mournful refrain of ‘Will I Ever Find a Home?’ rises to meet a languid piano motif. This creates a poignant atmosphere that mirrors the sorrows of isolation. Jamie’s vocals, filled with raw emotion, navigate the complexities of longing and loss. The track follows the release of the instrumental piece ‘For Martin’ a touching tribute to Jamie’s beloved cousin.

Speaking about the track, Jamie Irrepressible shares, “Will I Ever Find A Home?’ expresses the longing to find that someone as a gay man or queer person in these times of fleeting affairs and commercialism where the sense of home with someone to love becomes all too elusive.
