Leading the charge in the current indie-rock resurgence, Litvar, at the forefront of this movement is back with their sophomore album.

Litvar’s journey began with the childhood friendship between Rex Thurstan and Violet Falkowski, who started crafting music together during their high school days. Over the years, and after various bands and projects, they crossed paths with Joe Lemieux in 2019. The immediate chemistry between them was undeniable, leading to Joe’s rapid inclusion as their drummer, cementing the trio’s formation.

The outbreak of the pandemic in early 2020 prompted Rex and Joe, who were roommates, to channel their creative energies into a collection of songs. This creative surge birthed Litvar’s debut album, The Greatest Movie of All Time.

Shortly after the release of their debut album in May 2020, Litvar caught the attention of Los Angeles-based indie label Mother West, which signed them in October 2020. The label released the album in multiple formats, including vinyl, CD, and cassette, complemented by a successful radio campaign that propelled the record to #193 on the NACC charts.

In early 2021, Litvar was poised for fresh music and live performances. Throughout 2021, the band embarked on an extensive tour across the United States, captivating audiences and expanding their fan base. In 2022, they left an indelible mark at SXSW with a series of unforgettable shows in Austin, Texas.

Fast forward to September 2023, and Litvar has returned with their highly anticipated sophomore album, Eloquently Aimless. This eleven-track masterpiece stands as a testament to their growth as musicians and songwriters. Produced by Charles Newman, known for his work with The Magnetic Fields and The Bones of J.R. Jones, the album was created in February 2022 at Elliot Smith’s New Monkey Studio in Los Angeles, showcasing Litvar’s bold step forward.

The focus track, “All Those Minutes Ago”, approaches relationship issues and the desire for self-improvement with a touch of sarcasm. Litvar’s music has always been a platform for confronting personal struggles, and Eloquently Aimless delves into themes of emerging from dark mental spaces, facing ego, battling self-doubt, and yearning to rewrite one’s past mistakes.

Litvar’s journey is far from over – with an unwavering work ethic and a growing fan base, they continue to captivate audiences nationwide. Their upcoming shows in November 2023, including stops in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Portland, promise unforgettable experiences for both longtime fans and newcomers.
