Australian brother and sister duo, The Pearce Collective, offers a unique blend of folk, country, blues, and roots music that will appeal to fans of artists such as Dave Matthews, Brooke Fraser, Damian Rice, Fleetwood Mac, Eva Cassidy, and James Taylor.

The partnership as The Pearce Collective was formed in 2016, after the passing of their mother, both artists reconnected with their roots and channelled their life experiences and emotions into their heartfelt songwriting.

Recent finalists in the Roddy Read Memorial Songwriting Contest at Maldon Folk Festival, the duo’s invigorating storytelling comes from the 20 years of singing and writing music separately. Carol has a background in producing and co-writing children’s albums, while Michael has a degree in Technical Production from RMIT University.

As a taster of what we can expect from their upcoming EP, and birthed in the nostalgic sanctity of ‘The Fogarty Room’, where familial bonds and memories of loved ones reside, The Pearce Collective’s latest track, ‘Father To Daughter’ serves as a tribute to the unbreakable bond between mother and child, and the resilience required to navigate the complex emotions of loss.

Produced, recorded and mixed by multi-award winning producer, composer and songwriter, Jan Skubizsewski, ‘Father To Daughter’ holds a sense of emotion and deep love that will tug on your heartstrings more and more with every listen.

‘Father To Daughter’ is a must-have addition to your auditory collection.
