Following the release of three epic EPs, Poison Oak are now gearing up for their July 2023 launch of their upcoming album, with their latest single, ‘Found Myself’ providing a little taster of what’s to come from the album.
With a late 1990’s and 2000’s sound reminiscent of The Cure, Blink 182 and R.E.M, the latest single from Poison Oak, ‘Found Myself’ tells a story that touches themes of self-satisfaction, adulthood and a subconscious understanding for the simple things in life.
“The song came together so fast from just a jam we were having when rehearsing. Ray had this chord
progression, that he was messing around with, then I came up with the main riff. Then we had the lyrics and melody literally five minutes later” James Balthes
Produced by Mike Myers, ‘Found Myself’ is catchy, reflective and vibrant, filled with lively drum beats and dreamy harmonies, leaving you picturing the group playing on a stage directly in front of you.
This is the perfect song for that summer road trip or a BBQ with friends and a must add addition for your indie rock playlist.
