Hailing from Newcastle in Australia, 19 year old singer-songwriter, Bree Rusev is known both locally and in the wider music arena for captivating performances and her signature songwriting sound that incorporates Bree’s stunning and unique vocal style with the sound of her acoustic fingerpicked guitar.
Launching her musical journey at the age of 14, Bree Rusev has a musical resume that many would dream of, having been recognised for her single ‘Coastline’ in Australia’s Triple J Unearthed High in 2020, having supported the likes of John Butler, Bree Jordy Maxwell, Fergus James, 19-Twenty, and winning the teen category in the 2021 International-Songwriting-Competition for her single, ‘Goodbye’.
Recorded and Produced by Garrett Kato, the latest single by Bree Rusev, ‘Dotted Lines’ dives into the moment that we all go to make a decision and encounter that unseen line. The song speaks of how the dotted line differs for every person.
“I wrote this when I was 15 years old. It was one of the first songs I wrote. I picked up the guitar for the first time at age 14 and began playing live and songwriting soon after. Only took it to the recording studio for the first time early this year for release.” Bree Rusev
Featuring the gliding stand out vocals of Bree Rusev and blending with the beauty of fingerpicked acoustic guitar and subtle rhythmic drum lines, this is a track that will draw every ounce of attention through to the very end of the track, leading you to hit play, again and again.
