Frogs In Suits Share Intimate Vulnerability With Single, ‘Headwires’

Hailing from Launceston in Tasmania, Australia, Harry Yates (lead singer, songwriter, and rhythm guitar), Hamish Lehner (lead guitarist and backup vocals), Jordan Grant (bass and backup vocals) and Justin Bailey (drummer and backup vocals) come together to form Frogs In Suits.

Studying music together at Launceston College in 2019, the group found that they all shared a similar passion for music and they never looked back.

Inspired by the likes of Smashing Pumpkins, The Strokes, Nirvana, Silverchair and Arctic Monkeys, Frogs In Suits share a desire to move their love of grunge music to the sounds of their generation.

“We want people to feel the same way we do when writing music and performing. The emotions that drove our songs into creation – despair, sadness, frustration, and angst. Yeah OK, we have lots of fun, too. But music is a form of art. Life is art. So, we ask, why wake up if there’s nothing to feel?” Harry Yates

Produced at Grove Studios by Jackson Barclay, the single by Frogs In Suits, ‘Headwires’ is a taster from their latest EP release, ‘Waist Deep’.

“Headwires is the spontaneous product of many emotions. An overwhelming sense of desperation and worthlessness. I simply couldn’t put down the guitar or stop composing lyrics in my head. This song represents mortality and the thin line that separates life from death.” Harry Yates

‘Headwires’ brings a laidback rock vibe that makes you feel like you are standing in a crowd listening to the group playing live on stage. There is a sense of intimacy and connection with Frogs In Suits that makes you want to seek them out and head to a show.
