Canadian Indie-Pop Duo, Wotts Wait In Limbo With Single, ‘Something’

Square

Canadian, Ottawa based artists Jayem (vocalist/multiinstrumentalist) and Ricky 100 (bassist/guitarist) come together to form indie pop duo, Wotts, who have been seen playing the stages of RBC Bluesfest, Canadian Music Week and Junofest.

Inspired by the likes of The 1975 and Djo, the pair have a passion for introducing new and creative sounds and influences, to bring a distinct signature vibe to their music.

“Indie Pop is our goal, but I think we’re having a lot of fun with exploring new sounds and really trying to build an atmosphere with our music”. Ricky 100

Produced by Jayem (vocalist/multi-instrumentalist), the latest nostalgic pop release from Wotts, ‘Something’ follows a string of throw-back releases, including “No Take Backs” and “Domino”.

‘Something’ speaks of the waiting.. the time in limbo while the person you desire makes the decision whether to keep you in their life.

“We wanted to capture that feeling of desperation when you know someone has a hold on you. Gripping your phone close to you, just hoping to hear from them, taking any small thing they do as a sign”. Jayem

The track fills listeners with a nostalgic feel of 80’s inspired drum beats, analogue synths and featured guitar riffs and is sure to leave a sense of uplifted bliss.
