Hailing from my hometown of Melbourne, Australia, Océane (she/her), Luke (they/them) and Rory (he/him) form the indie-rock, curly haired trio, My Giddy Aunt.

Compared to the likes of The The, Gang Of Youths or Cousin Tony’s Brand New Firebird, My Giddy Aunt came together earlier this year and have been seen headlining at venues such as The Retreat Hotel and The Workers Club, as well as performing at the Queen’s College Music and Drama Society’s most recent annual music festival ‘Quadstock’, sometimes as a six-piece extravaganza featuring a horn section, or as a stripped back acoustic trio.

The latest five track EP release from My Giddy Aunt, ‘All Things Come In Time’ explores some of the greatest challenges and themes within human experience, including mental health, isolation and loneliness, separation anxiety and discovering yourself again.

In discussing the lead track of the EP with, ‘Sunk’, a rock story that expresses that feeling that you wish people never had to leave, Rory Vagg shares:

“When someone you’re close to has to go it doesn’t seem real until this feeling attaches itself like an anchor to your neck and smacks you in the face with a wet rag. It’s definitely a wet rag kind of a song lyrically, but it’s offset by how fun and energetic the instrumental is.”

The EP, ‘All Things Come In Time’ will take you on a journey, filled with a mix of deep and reflective themes and a twist of light hearted play. My Giddy Aunt are a trio to watch.
