At just 19 years of age, Canadian singer-songwriter, Lucas Fournier is passionate about creating music that leads him to excitement and to push the boundaries of what is set in front of him.
With inspiration blended from indie folk loves of Novo Amor and early Bon Iver, genre bending artists like Radiohead and creative, thought provoking production like Tony Berg on albums like Phoebe Bridgers, Lucas Fournier sees music as a truly unique way of expressing himself and influencing his thoughts, as well as to connect with others.
The latest 5 track EP release from Lucas Fournier, ‘Who Are We’ tells a story of the journey that he has taken over the last year, filled with themes of growing up, teenage angst, heartbreak, and overcoming insecurity.
As you move through the mesmerising sonic landscape and the warmth of Lucas’ vocals within his EP, you climb from a sense of vulnerability and insecurity, as it’s overcome through ‘Who I Am’, reflection of the past experience of anger and regret with ‘Friday In The Basement’ and ‘Brothers’ and finally, acceptance and possibility of the future with ‘Lakeside’ and ‘Golden’.
This is truly an inspirational EP from an artist with maturity well beyond his years.
