We had the honour of interviewing the incredible United Kingdom based singer-songwriter, Carley Varley back in May 2022 with her single, ‘Shore’. You can read the article here.

Inspired by the likes of Hayley Williams, Linkin Park and Avril Lavigne, Carley Varley is a versatile rock pop singer-songwriter based in the south coast of the United Kingdom, who began her songwriting journey at the age of 14.

In 2016, she was found busking in the seaside town of Lymington and invited to begin sharing her music at venues such as The Ritz and The Waldorf in London, which ignited a passion to share her music with the world.

The latest single release by Carley Varley, ‘Better Without Me’ is a taster of what is to come from her upcoming November EP, and catapults her style from a previously pop based sound, to one of her most loved genres from her teens, alternative rock, where she draws inspiration from Paramore, Linkin Park and Evanescence.

Telling a heart wrenching story about being used by someone you deeply care about and then abandoned, the song combines the deep emotional anger and turmoil within the lyricism of the story, and signature Carley Varley power vocals, with a sound of 2000-esq nostalgia.

“I wrote Better Without Me and the rest of this EP after many seasonal friendships and relationships ended. I was hoping that writing would heal my hurting and it certainly did, especially when I finally found the sound I’d always dreamed of that reflected my lyrics.” Carley Varley
