The latest single release from Brooke Stilla, ‘Not Getting Over You’ was inspired after Brooke had been listening to Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’. The feeling of missing someone that was no longer a part of her life, was a sentiment that she could deeply relate to.
“Reminiscing about my ex-boyfriend that I never got closure from. I was confused and confirmed that the relationship was definitely over for him, after seeing that he had proposed to his now wife.” Brooke Stilla
Produced and co-written by Jonathan Karkar, the track acts as an ode to anyone who has had a relationship end, where they didn’t feel that they received closure.
“Writing “not over getting over you” gave me closure and made me understand that relationships never really do end, even when they physically have. We always carry a part of our past relationships with us, whether it’s good or bad. I know that I’ve learnt something from them all. I hope this song helps you feel something, get the closure you’ve been needing, provides another perspective on heartbreak and helps you heal.” Brooke Stilla
You will be completely swept away by the beautiful combination of attitude and emotion, mixed with pure vocal versatility and control. ‘Not Getting Over You’ is both a fun, attitude filled track and a ‘pull at your heart-strings’ song that many can truly connect with.
