Gudfinnur Gets Intimately Vulnerable With Single, ‘Everywhere I Go’

Square

Emerging out of Iceland, Gudfinnur is a singer-songwriter with a combined background in classical music and atmospheric post rock.

Within his late teenage years, Gudfinnur formed the band, Minor Reflection, which went on to release several successful albums and tour internationally with the likes of Sigur Rós.

Currently pursuing his solo artistry, Gudfinnur is in the process of sharing and releasing his debut eleven track album, ‘You’.. a conceptual album that has been split into two parts and was recorded by Bergur Þórisson, musical director for Björk.

The first of two singles released prior to the late October release of his debut solo album, ‘You’, ‘Everywhere I Go’ is a stunning piano based melancholic song that highlights the authentic and intimate vulnerability within Gudfinnur’s songwriting and performance.

“The song is piano based but driven onwards with french horn and trombone, played by my producer Bergur Thorisson, who is also Björk’s musical director. Piano is recorded in my old living room on my grandmother’s old baby grand, horn and vocals in Bergur’s studio.” Gudfinnur

‘Everywhere I go’ is the perfect track to listen to when winding down for the day or taking a moment to relax.
