Born and raised in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand and now residing in Christchurch, singer, actress and model, Lauren Marshall is the woman behind the upbeat and lively musical project, Loveta.
Inspired by the likes of YEBBA, Amber Mark, Kim Petras, and Dua Lipa, Lauren has spent many years carefully crafting her unique style of musical artistry through performing on stages all over the world and spending her time in front of the camera.
Bringing the classic vibes of disco and funk together with fresh modern sounds of electro-pop, dance and R&B, Loveta invites listeners to partake in both a heart-warming experience, while hitting the dance floor.
Filled with driving beats and the power of Lauren’s alluring vocals, Loveta’s latest electro-pop freedom anthem, ‘Drive’ encourages listeners to move out of a period of ‘stuck-ness’ and chasing what makes you feel alive, connected and happy.
“I wrote Drive in lockdown last year when I was feeling restricted and confined at home, as well as in my own headspace. Being isolated from friends and loved ones was tough, and I found myself searching for a new perspective on the situation. I was inspired by the feeling of getting away and travelling somewhere new, where all of life’s worries just melt away.” Loveta
Teaming with fellow Kiwi musician and producer, Wulfie, ‘Drive’ is the perfect track to listen to when you’re looking to break away from a moment of feeling trapped, and beginning to find a sense of optimism of what’s to come.
