Fran released her debut release of ‘Ladybird’ in January of 2021, with the intention of allowing her friends to find her music online. It wasn’t long before the track was touching the lives of a much wider audience and led to another four tracks being released in the same year.
With a growing passion to share to her captivating indie folk music with the world, Fran Lusty has recently moved to London and has been playing gigs at intimate venues, as well as signing to independent label, Indieshake.
Produced by Luke May, the latest single release from Fran Lusty, ‘Flight Of Your Mind’ tells a story about British modernist author, Virginia Woolf’s husband discovering her dairies and feeling a sense of helplessness with what he finds in the power of her mind.
“I got a little obsessed with Virginia Woolf’s diaries and how they recorded her mind taking flight, exploring dark and unknown spaces in her psych. She always returned to the ground at the end of her writing session and seemed disappointed by the fact that she had to come back to the real world.” Fran Lusty
Listening through the track, you are immediately surrounded with an atmosphere of melancholic space, through the acoustically based vibe of the track, providing the perfect foundation for sharing the depth of story that Fran has created.
