In November of 2021, we were honoured to have the opportunity to cover the debut release of Aussie Electro Pop/R&B artist, Minhy’s single, ‘Dead Of The Night’, which you can read here.
Inspired by the likes of James Blake and H.E.R., Minhy blends the sounds of laid back beats, lush harmonies and sweet piano, layered with her alluring vocals to create catchy and signature songs that draw the listener in.
Minhy, a multi award winning songwriter, finds strength and drive from her family, who’s journey to Australia, following the Vietnam war, gave her so many opportunities to follow her passions and to forge her own identity in the world that she creates for herself.
The latest single release from Minhy, ‘Entangled’ is a love story, at a quantum relational level, that touches on how connected each of us are, and how each action we take has an affect on the people around us.
The inspiration for the track was born as Minhy was studying quantum entanglement, ‘a strange scientific phenomenon where two particles are so intimately linked, what happens to one affects the other, even if separated by billions of light-years of space.’
Minhy found that the affect of her partner staying up late, working from home, left her having sleepless nights, herself.
“I realised that we had become entangled. The kind of relationship that walks a fine-line between being deeply connected and over-dependent. It started to feel like I didn’t know where I ended and he began. And so in my sleepless slumber, I wrote ‘Entangled’.” Minhy
