Brought to life in 2020, United Kingdom based four piece pop band, Gabriel’s Dawn is made up of long time friends, Gudg (vocals), Fran Feely (Bass), Leon Jones (Guitar) and Stuart Gray (keys).
Recorded remotely throughout lockdowns and featuring backing vocals from Robyn Gibson, (The Junipers & Hot Toddy) and Phil Mason (Alfa 9), their latest self titled album release, ‘Gabriel’s Dawn’ features ten tracks of feel-good, catchy melodic pop, fused with shimmering guitar lines and airy harmonies.
“Our aim from the start was to make a classic album. Something we’d be proud of and something we hope will stand the test of time. So we didn’t want to rush anything. With no option of gigs during Lockdown and no real anticipation towards us in terms of releases, there was no pressure on us, so we took our time to get the sound we wanted” Fran
Gabriel’s Dawn have a deep love of US bands of the 1960’s, such as Byrds, Love and Buffalo Springfield. The songs on their album give the listener a nostalgic vibe, tenderly capturing this passion and feel, sending the listener back in time, almost to re-experience a time in history that changed the direction of music, fashion and culture.
“We are all massive fans of 60s culture, music, films, art and fashion. That’s not to say we are stuck in that time period but I’d certainly love a time machine for day or two to go back there and experience it.” Fran
