Caitlin Gets Straight To The Core Of Feeling Frustration With Single, ‘Hardly’

Square

Australian indie pop artist, Caitlin spent her upbringing immersed in the world of country and folk music, with parents as full time musicians, which she credits for her ability to create music that dives into the depths of honest and authentic storytelling.

Inspired by the likes of Julia Jacklin and Faye Webster, Caitlin released her debut single, ‘We’re Starting a Fire’ in 2019, which received great praise from her fans.

Over the last year, Caitlin has been working with producer, Ryan Fisherman, to bring to life, her upcoming EP, due for release this coming August.

“I’m so excited to share this music I’ve been creating over the past year with Ryan Fisherman. It feels like a long time coming, and I’m finally ready to share my sound with the public. I hope people hear the passion and care that has gone into these upcoming releases.” Caitlin

Caitlin’s latest single, ‘Hardly’ is the first single release from the upcoming EP and gives us a little taste as to what is to come.

‘Hardly’ brings a catchy, guitar driven soundscape, fused with lyricism that is not afraid to get to the core of feelings like jealousy, stress and confusion. Caitlin has truly found a way to have you singing and vibing along to feelings that so many are afraid to even touch on.

“I kept feeling frustrated with myself because the person I wanted to hang out with always seemed to be busy, but I kept taking it personally even though I knew it was just the circumstances. Hardly is a song of feeling the frustration of the circumstances you’re in, unable to change them, and unwilling to accept them” – Caitlin
