Montana Leigh Reflects On The Feeling Of Loss And Regret With Single, ‘Gone’

Square

Nashville, United States based pop artist, Montana Leigh was born with the musical DNA running through her veins.

Montana’s father, Bob Wootton, played guitar for Johnny Cash for over 30 years. Vicky, her mother, was the bass player for The Carter Family for over 2 years and a songwriter in her own right.

Inspired by the likes of Celine Dion, Lady Gaga and Lewis Capaldi, Montana has certainly followed in the footsteps of her admirable parents, having released 7 singles since her 2019 debut

Drawing inspiration from a much loved book series, ‘After’ and fusing with elements from Star Wars, Montana Leigh’s latest single, ‘Gone’ came to life.

“I know that is funny but I have written several new songs from the love story that is Star Wars.” Montana Leigh

‘Gone’ sets an emotional and melancholy scene, beginning with an epic orchestral strings introduction that feels cinematic, before it’s pulled away and replaced with the rawness of a piano. You can almost see it being played on a big stage.

You will be truly captivated by the beauty, control and clarity in Montana’s vocals, as she tells the heart-wrenching story of reflecting that someone she loved is gone.
