Back in November 2021, we interviewed Poison Oak all about their release ‘Weekend Blues’. You can read the article here.

The far north Queensland, Australia based four piece rock/indie/punk band, who formed in 2019 as a group of friends coming together for a jam, are back with their single release, ‘Hope You Like The View’.

Poison Oak, made up of Ray Pearson, James Balthes, Chris Reiterer and Russell West, have been building their reputation, having released a string of singles and two EPs, The Living Room Sessions and 1996.

Produced by Mike Myers, the latest single by Poison Oak, ‘Hope You Like The View’ is the third release from the band’s upcoming third EP release.

With a sound compared to the likes of The Cure or Blink 182, ‘Hope You Like The View’ speaks of the choices we make, and how those choices can affect those around us.

You are sure to be inspired by the atmospheric soundscape that the group have created, filled with vulnerable lyricism, thick punk rock textures and guitar melodies that will send you off into your own magical world.
