Korean born and living in a bunker in Sunset Park, United States, artist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and filmmaker, Juno Roome has released his single, ‘Just Like Before’.
The track, self written, performed and produced, and Mastered by Joe LaPorta, is the first song that Juno has written in both Korean and English, as a tribute to his roots.
“I moved to the US when I was 10, so I don’t speak Korean very well at all; so when I wrote the first draft of this, I sent it to my mom for review and she said “this makes no sense.” I still don’t know if it makes a whole lot of sense. But this one is about missing a relationship that didn’t quite work very well, missing their shadows on your skin, thinking back on those memories / intimacy fondly, while at the same time with the awareness that it probably wasn’t for the best… loss is hard no matter what.” Juno Roome
‘Just Like Before’ straight away, sets an atmospheric scene, with the introduction of a relaxed, yet driving beat, ambient and electronic sounds and the light warmth of Juno’s dreamy vocals.
The song brings a sense of calm and is the perfect track to listen to as you are winding down after a long, hard day.
If you are looking for an easy listening indie pop style track, this is absolutely one to add to your list.
