Below is an eclectic mix of five new releases that we are vibing with right now.

1. Timewaster – Galaxy Thief

Hailing from the south coast of the United Kingdom, four piece rock outfit, made up of Rhys Messenger (Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitar), George Bowerman (Lead Guitar/Vocals), Ben Watton (Drums) and Jake Trim (Bass/Vocals), Galaxy Thief are bringing a new, grittier sound, with the introduction of new frontman and songwriter, Rhys Messenger.

Influenced by the likes of Nothing But Thieves, The 1975, The Band CAMINO and Angels and Airways, the group came together in early 2017 and have been recording their music on their own farm based recording studio, which gives them the ability to record at any time of the day, when inspiration strikes.

The latest indie rock single from Galaxy Thief, ‘Timewaster’, brings a hint of an 80’s vibe and combines the feel with that of a modern soundscape, reflecting a new a unique atmosphere.

‘Timewaster was recorded at Woodworm Studios with producer Michael Smith (Weird Milk, The Pylons, Honey Lung) and mastered by ‘Hippy’ Baldwin at Metropolis Studios.

2. Break The World – Caroline Reilly

Atlanta, United States based alternative indie artist, Caroline Reilly began her musical journey at the age of 16, after being a part of NBC’s ‘The Voice’. From there she had the opportunity of working with Gwen Stefani who helped her to envision the pathway to her future career in music.

“I want to make music for the people who don’t feel heard in this world.” Caroline Reilly

Inspired by the uniqueness of artists like YUNGBLUD, Willow Smith, Machine Gun Kelly and Charlotte Sands, Caroline has a passion for creatively expressing miscommunications that cause divisions and downfalls of relationships. She is fascinated with the understanding that there are always two sides to a story.

Recorded at Kreative Villains recording studio in Buckhead, Georgia and produced by Brandon Black, the latest single by Caroline Reilly, ‘Break The World’ is a track written for all the people who don’t feel heard. Caroline wants them to know that she hears them.

“”Break The World”, is about a friend of mine who struggled with an emotionally abusive father and mother. I never truly thought she was going through anything at home based on the way she acted.
She was one of the kindest and most positive people I had ever known. After seeing her situation for myself, my heart broke for her and everyone that has to live like this. I wanted to write a song for her and for anyone that feels this way. Nobody should feel neglected by the people they love.” Caroline Reilly

3. Give Up So Easy – Adri-Anne Ralph

Raised in Canada and residing in the United States, R&B artist, Adri-Anne Ralph began singing in jazz clubs and accompanying herself on piano at the age of 14.

Her musical journey has had her travelling from her homeland of Canada, to the hills of the Andes in Venezuela, to the white beaches of Jamaica, and finally settling in Los Angeles, California.

Adri-Anne uses her influences from the genres of R&B, Classic Soul, and Pop to create musical that will truly resonate and inspire her listeners.

The latest vulnerable and emotive single from Adri-Anne Ralph, ‘Give Up So Easy’, was originally written, produced and recorded by Adri-Anne when she was 6 months pregnant with her child. Two years later, she has had the track re-produced to bring in the cinematic sound that you can hear within the production, having kept the original raw and authentic vocal recordings that she created.

The track tells a story of two lovers, in a relationship.. that it takes the two of them to keep the love alive and asks the questions.. ‘What happens if one gives up?’.

4. Something New – Marianne Engebretsen (Album)

Based in Oslo, Norway, producer, label owner, artist and songwriter, Marianne Engebretsen began her musical journey at the age of 15 after being a part of Norway’s ‘The Voice’. Now, seven years later she says that she has found her own inner voice through her writing and working with other artists.

Marianne has a passion for pushing genre boundaries, expanding the pop genre by infusing the sounds of RnB, a cinematic feel, rooting her sound in the wildness of nature.

Inspired by the likes of Sufjan Stevens, Daughter og Ethan Gruska, Marianne Engebretsen’s second and latest album release, ‘Something New’ tells a story of the past five years, since the release of her first album, ‘Redefined’. The story contains the many facets of the city life, betrayals and the role of a mother.

5. One Year Later – Radical West (Album)

Residing in Las Vegas, United States, five piece outfit, Radical West is made up of Cameron Dettman (Lead Singer/Guitar) Sawyer Schnieder (Lead Guitar/Vocals) Zach Ellingson (Drums) Lonny Blank (Bass) and Spencer King (Keys/Vocals).

With a genre eclectic mix of metal, blues, funk, soul, classic rock, jazz, prog, R&B, and modern pop tunes, the band began their journey in February of 2020, after Sawyer Schneider and Cameron Dettman began writing as a way of processing the challenges of the pandemic.

Recorded at Wackerman Studios in Las Vegas, NV. and produced by Robert Katz (Imagine Dragons, Madonna, Rhianna, Elton John, Celene Dion, The Killers, Ryan Tedder), their album, ‘One Year Later’ is the outcome of the journey the band have taken with their songwriting.

The album speaks of a range of topics including, heartbreak, loss, love, sex, and self-reflection and dives into a genre diverse mix of R&B, Americana, funk, pop, alternative rock to more classic sounding pop tunes.
