Below is an eclectic mix of five new releases that we are vibing with right now.
1. Ice – A.B. Violet
Influenced by artists such as London Grammar, Massive Attack, Caribou, Kate Bush, Tori Amos and Annie Lennox, UK based indie pop singer/songwriter, A.B. Violet releases her single, ‘Ice’ as a precursor to her EP, ‘Elemence’.
Having had regular appearances with BBC Introducing in Essex and Radio Southend’s Saturday Sessions with Matt Wherry, A.B. Violet has a passion for using her musical artform to help others.
As such, her single, ‘Ice’ is all about empowerment as you are coming out of a difficult relationship.
“It’s one of the first songs I wrote, when I decided to try my hand at music-making. I’ve known it for so long; it feels so special, emotional and empowering.” A.B. Violet
Recorded and produced by creative producer and drummer, Elliot Richardson at Highfield Studios in Essex, the track features instrumentation, including Indonesian brass and percussion instrument, a Gamelan and a piano synth by the name of Una Corda.
The nostalgic and vulnerable, yet nurturing feel of the track will create a beautiful and safe environment for healing your inner world as you listen to the calming vocals and soundscape of A.B. Violet.

2. Ghosts – Ghost Singers
UK based acoustic indie folk group, Ghost Singers consists of Glasgow, Scotland songwriters, Christy, Beloved.lucia.richard, Jacob, Maddy and Brian.brian and an array of worldwide artists.
Uniquely, Ghost Singers have never met in person, with artists spanning across the world from the USA, Scotland, England, Spain, South Africa, Canada and Brazil and recording their own parts in their own home studios, in their own countries.
Inspired by the sounds of artists like Nick Drake and John Martyn, the group have released their single, ‘Ghosts’, which is a story about a man trying to run a witch out of town.
The stunning stripped back, acoustic track, ‘Ghosts’ was performed by the alluring and delicate voice of Lucinda Galindo Santos over the top of the beautiful finger picked acoustic guitar line.
‘Ghosts’ is a beautiful and emotional track that is sure to pull at your heartstrings.. It is the perfect addition for a relaxing afternoon playlist.

3. IV – Viscula (Album)
Formed in Lutsk, Ukraine in 2002, the UK based four piece indie rock instrumental band, Viscula has been seen playing shows across the world, spanning 18 countries and playing at festivals such as Together to The Top (Poland), Fonari (Russia), Shanghai International (China) and Feckfest (UK), as well as playing at many renowned clubs around London.
Released via London Indie label Alien Milk Records, Viscula’s latest instrumental album release, IV is organically created using the instruments within the band, consisting of drums, bass, guitar and keyboards. The band made a conscious decision to keep the band’s natural elements and to not use any overlays to create their music.
Featuring within the album, the bass parts in the album were played by Kino and Aquarium’s Soviet and Russian bassist, Alexander Titov and the album was mixed and mastered by George Shilling, who also worked with Blur and Primal Scream.
The authentic instrumentation within the tracks gives the listener a feel of sitting in a bar with a drink and seeing the band playing live in front of them, or even grooving to the band live at a festival setting.

4. I Found You – Church Mice
Detroit, USA based five piece sonic Americana style band, Church Mice was created by Bill Solomson and Christian Carver Thompson, a pair that have been creating music together, in various musical projects, since they were 13 and in high school and have continued to come together for their artform, into adulthood.
Heavily inspired by the band, Soundgarden, Church Mice was created after the passing of Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell and has been developing their own style since that time, with Christian taking the lead roles within the band.
‘I Found You’, their latest track from the band’s debut EP, ‘Flying’, is a raw and honest love song.

With a relaxed, yet uplifting indie sound, containing soundscapes with hints reminiscent of the 80’s, ‘I Found You’ creates a smooth and poetic musical story of what it means to fall in love.
Incorporating the sounds of acoustic guitar, keys, brass and simple percussion, combined with the warm and raw vocals, the creative track takes you through an incredible journey that will have you wanting to listen again and again.

5. Distance (feat. Samad Savage) – Lupe Dragon
United States based singer/songwriter, Lupe Dragon started on her musical performance journey at the age of just two or three, getting involved in every school choir and drama club she could.
Influenced by artists such as Ed Sheeran, Logic, Watsky, Andrew McMahon, Dashboard Confessional and Paramore, the music of Lupe Dragon is upbeat, fun and gives off an alternative indie pop feel.
Recorded by engineer, Matt Filipek, Lupe Dragon’s latest track, ‘Distance’, featuring artist, Samad Savage, talks of the notion that we are all “making it up” as we go.
“I’ve had a lot of loss in my life so this song was actually very empowering for me to release because its basically an anthem for how my life has been going. The distance between everything and everyone was slowly killing me but I’m

The drums on the track were played by Jit Chatterjee and further percussion in the track was performed by Paulo Coehlo.
Listening to the track, you will feel a positive uplifting and fun vibe with undertones of healing from something really challenging. You will find yourself dancing and singing to the track in no time.
