The great music just keeps coming!

Below is an eclectic mix of five new releases that we are vibing with right now.

1. Winning The War – Escape Ring

Melbourne, Australia based artist and songwriter, Darren Moss is the leading man behind the musical rock project, Escape Ring.

Having been featured previously in US TV show, NBC’s The Biggest Loser, Escape Ring is considered to be a combination of classic rock with a more modern twist, like ‘Fleetwood Mac songs put through a 2021 sonic template’.

As well as releasing his latest track, ‘Winning The War’, Escape Ring is in the process of prepping for an album release, ‘Anybody Can Do Anything’, with tracks that have been mixed by TJ Routon (Taylor Swift, One Republic, Nicki Minaj) and Ariel Chobaz (Nicki Minaj, Drake).

Likened to ‘Beach Boys harmonies over a Weezer track’, ‘Winning The War’ is all about the struggle that we have in managing those voices we have in our heads, that hold us back from those things that we know we should be doing.

As you listen to the track, you are immediately welcomed by the sound of classic rock drums, mixed with distorted electric guitars.

The raw and authentic sound of Darren’s vocals is combined with the sound of luscious harmonies which creates a depth that draws you into the meaning and sentiments within the song.

‘Winning The War’ is incredibly uplifting and leaves you feeling positive that you can conquer anything that you may face in your day.

Til Now’s latest single release, ‘Bored’ is created via Aaron’s personal experience of a long-term relationship ending and realising that coming to terms with the breakup is much less complicated than he expected.

5. Red Flags – Blonde Diamond

Canadian alt-pop four piece band, Blonde Diamond are made up of Alexis Young (lead vocals + keys/synth), Malcolm Holt (drums), Louis Hearn (guitar) and Bruce Ledingham (keys/synth).

Playing on stages across Canada, Europe, Australia, the US, and India, the band create a dreamy synth-pop atmosphere throughout their music, with the sounds of arpeggiated bass synths, an atmosphere of swirling guitars and beats that will have you bopping along for days.

Written by lead vocalist, Alexis Young, the band’s latest release, ‘Red Flags’ is a deep dive into abusive relationships and was created to shed some light on the experience.

“Post the breakup of a very long relationship and at a particularly vulnerable moment in my life, through a chance encounter I found myself in a relationship that was—on its surface—everything that I was looking for,” says Alexis. “The romance, the infatuation, the lust. It was the type of affair that you only read about in books and see in films. However, the red flags had presented themselves from the get-go and I initially ignored them. I wanted to see the good in this person, and believe that I could be a strong and positive force in their life. When it finally got to the point that I allowed myself to accept that it was abusive and emotionally manipulative, I felt stupid and ashamed that I could be so naïve and easily coerced into such a spiral of entrapment and darkness. I wanted to write this song not just as a form of healing for my own experience, but also as a message to others that you CAN walk away. That you’re not alone. And that it’s easy to get swept up and lose perspective when you’re in the eye of the storm.”

The second single release from their upcoming album, ‘Red Flags’ will take you on a musical storytelling journey, from romance to dark manipulation, through the atmosphere created by vibrant drum beats, sparkly keys, dreamy guitars, slinky bass, and intimate vocals.
