The great music just keeps coming!

Below is an eclectic mix of five new releases that we are vibing with right now.

1. Without Your Love (feat. Luke Coulson) – Ace Gordon

With a background in Pop-Punk and influenced by artists like Blink182, The Starting Line and Dashboard Confessional, and with 25 years under his belt, Canadian Ace Gordon transitioned to electronic production in 2020, inspired by artists such as CMA, David Guetta, Tiesto and Shockline.

In this light, Ace has released his latest Electro-Pop track, ‘Without Your Love’, which features vocalist, Luke Coulson.

The track, Ace says, is written about his wife.. It’s a story about him being in a difficult place and his wife coming along and lifting him up and helping him move to the right path.

‘Without Your Love’ begins instantly with the bright and uplifting feel of the beat and with the warm vocals of Luke Coulson.

As the song builds in its beat, addictive bassline and instrumentation, you find yourself completely immersed and dancing through an atmospheric story of being built up and becoming something new.

2. Nice Guy – Clara Moschetta

Influenced by artists such as Florence and The Machine and Regina Spektor, French based artist, Clara Moschetta, has created her unique sound, blending pop, contemporary electronica and jazz.

Clara is not afraid to dive straight into the difficult topic and combines her theatrical storytelling with heavy topics such as suicide, sexual assault and politics within her songs.

Growing up theatre became Clara’s anchor in a life of moving from place to place and has formed the basis of the music you hear today.

Her latest single, ‘Nice Guy’ is a high energy pop-punk track and addresses the subject of lovers, too caught up in playing the ‘nice guy’ to be true to themselves and express the authentic emotions that they feel.

The inspiration behind this song came from watching Netflix.. particularly the show, ‘Sex Education’, season 2. The main protagonist, Otis destroys all his relationships by attempting to please everyone.

3. Hives – Echo Hotel

Formed in 2018, this three piece UK based band, Echo Hotel, began their music career in a student bedroom, where they crafted their initial songs and recordings. The band was a continuation of the vocal project of Ed Hambly that started in 2015. It was in 2018 that Jack Holliday and James Waldron joined to form Echo Hotel.

Echo Hotel’s latest song, Hives is a pure breakup song.. A song that looks into the feelings felt as a relationship is lost and takes the time to look over the mistakes that have been made throughout.

Ed talks about the lack of discussion around how to end a relationship in the ‘right way’ and how if affects how we handle these breakup situations.

The track was recorded at Factory Studios in Bristol, UK, mixed by Jonathan Segar, backing vocals and woodwinds provided by James Storm and the artwork lovingly created by Laurie Wordingham.. A true collaboration to bring this track to life.

The song begins with the simple and effective sound of guitar and vocals.. taking you straight into the emotion of the sentiment behind the track.. As the instrumentation builds you still have the laid back melancholy feeling of thoughtful introspection.
