Hailing from Los Angeles in the United States, singer-songwriter Kennedy Reed is the woman behind the musical project, The Wren.
At 12 years of age, Kennedy began to take her love of music and singing to a new level, focusing on songwriting and determined to pave the path for a serious pursuit. Now, 24 years old, her musical project, The Wren shares heartfelt and vulnerable storytelling through her inviting and alluring vocals.
Produced by Ashley Fulton, composed by Erika Poh and played by Olena Kaspersky, ‘Please Don’t Joke About Dying’ is the debut single from The Wren and reminds listeners how truly loved they are.
“Life is too short not to tell the people in your life that you love them. I hope this song inspires listeners to do just that.” The Wren
‘Please Don’t Joke About Dying’ makes you feel as if you are sitting in a small, intimate bar setting, listening to The Wren playing directly in front of you. Kennedy’s vocals are crisp, warm and inviting and the fingerpicked acoustic guitar lines compliment her vocals and captivate the listener in a way that all activity will be halted as you listen through the track.
This is the perfect addition to a relaxing afternoon playlist and as a beautiful mood booster as you are reminded for a moment just how valuable you are.
