Hailing from Indonesia and currently residing in Melbourne, Australia, singer-songwriter, Felicia Lase, fuses the sounds of soulful RnB, pop soundscapes and honest storytelling, to create her signature sound.
“I don’t limit myself by genres when creating any songs. I put sounds which are right for the track and not bound by conventions” Felicia Lase
Producing, writing and performing all her own tracks, Felicia has been awarded an array of awards, including including Cassette Awards 2022, ListenUp National Songwriting Competition 2021, and LCLCI National Songwriting Competition 2020 and regularly performs at some of the top live music venues around Melbourne, including The Espy, Toff in Town, and Gaso.
Music, for Felicia began at the age of 5, within her church, where she discovered a love of the soulful emotion found within gospel music. Over time, she developed her rich vocal style and her piano skills, and began the journey of performing and musical production.
Self written and produced, ‘Sign’ is the debut single release from Felicia Lase, and tells a story of what it is like to feel lost and the desperation to have something or someone to hold onto.
“In this day and age, we are pulled into so many different directions that it is so easy to feel lost and desperately desire one thing to hold on to.” Felicia Lase
Felicia has created an enticing polarity within her track, combining the honey-like smoothness of RnB with the vibes of a slick trap beat.
‘Sign’ is the perfect addition to your weekend playlist.
