For 23 year old Argentinian-American singer-songwriter and producer, Katelin Goldstraj, Covid-19 lockdowns allowed her the chance to explore the art of creating and producing music from her iPhone.
Fast forward a couple of years to today, Katelin has developed a rich and awe inspiring sound and writing style filled with imagination, soul and dream conjuring poetic lyricism.
“I am an empath who is constantly reflecting, writing, and meditating to get in tune with my highest self. Any deep-rooted emotions, profound experiences, or important messages and stories, are intriguingly shared through poetic lyrics & sonic pleasures. I endeavor to raise awareness on mental health and touch on topics such as anxiety, self-love, self-awareness, spirituality, gratitude, and mindfulness.” Katelin Goldstraj
Inspired by the likes of The Weeknd, Evanescence, Xavier Omar, Sleep Token and Billie Eilish, Katelin creates a fusion of Alternative, Rock, Emotive Pop and RnB that come together in a honey-like melting pot that stir the listener to experience and feel raw human emotions like Joy, bliss, sadness, pain and anxiety.
Created in collaboration with her brother and producer, Kyle Goldstraj and with mentor and engineer, Ajax Kid, the latest and debut three track EP release from Katelin Goldstraj, ‘Elements Of Potency’, was inspired during Covid-19 lockdown isolation, in Katelin’s mother’s Las Vegas home. The EP was Katelin’s process of exploring the pent up emotion and inner wounds left throughout the experience.
As you progress through the tracks, you undertake a beautiful journey that takes you from challenge and struggle.. a feeling that so many can relate to during these unusual times.. with the inner pain of ‘Elements of Potency’ and the externally influenced challenges with ‘Dynamite’, and then leads you to a place of hope, acceptance and appreciation, through the final track, ‘Diamond’.
